Meet the Owner: Larissa

Fur Shore Dog Grooming LLC was founded in 2018 by Larissa & her husband Russell. The couple is originally from Long Island, New York where they had previously established & run a grooming salon called Ohana Island Grooming for 5 years before moving to Florida. Larissa & Russell live in Viera with their daughters & miniature dachshunds.

Larissa has been grooming dogs since 2002. She is a skilled, patient & very experienced dog groomer & dog lover! She is patient and gentle with all dogs from puppies to the seniors. She has experience with all breeds, sizes & temperaments of dogs. For Larissa, grooming is not just a job, it's her life-long passion as she has been working with animals from dogs to horses since the age of 13. Fun fact!- Larissa is actually allergic to animals- particularly dogs, cats & horses but loved them too much to not work with them, so she did 3 years of allergic shot treatments as a teenager to reduce her sensitivity to these adorable fur balls! Larissa has a pre-veterinary Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA. As an experienced and dedicated groomer, Larissa believes in establishing a relationship with each one of her clients. She is strives to maintain to a safe, friendly & professional dog grooming salon where each dog is loved and cared for as if her own.

Groomer: Angel

Angel has been grooming for 28 years. She grew up in rural Pennsylvania always surrounded by all kind of pets and knew at an early age she wanted to work with animals. Angel started working in a boarding facility where she initially learned how to groom. She moved to Florida in 2010 and worked at a local vets office for many years until she decided to make her way into grooming at a private salon with us here at Fur Shore Dog Grooming in 2022. Angel aims to listen to each client and make sure their pet is groomed to the owners specifications each time they come in. Most importantly she ensures that each dog is groomed with love and care to make it a happy grooming experience for both the dog and owner.

Groomer: Kyla

Kyla grew up with a military lifestyle and has lived in several different places throughout her childhood. Regardless of where she lived, she was always surrounded with animals. Kyla began her career with animals as a service dog trainer for the wounded warriors. She then wanted to learn how to groom because of her love for dogs and the creativity involved. She worked in a cooperate grooming salon in Illinois for a few years and then moved to Florida in 2022 which is when she joined Fur Shore Dog Grooming. Her favorite dog breed is the collie, which she owns 2 of.
